Review by hotel critic
Il Ghiro Bed & Breakfast was a delightful choice for our family's adventure in Italy. Located on a hilly path just outside Levanto, it allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature, with woods and vineyards surrounding us. After a day of hiking the stunning trails of Cinque Terre, it was a pleasure to return to our comfortable room, which felt like a second home, especially with the gentle sounds of birds accompanying our mornings. Ilaria, our host, made our stay feel personal from the moment we arrived. Her homemade breakfast featured local delights, like freshly baked bread and fruit preserves, which my kids enjoyed. The added bonus of a packed lunch from our breakfast leftovers was a lovely touch that helped us during our day trips. Levanto itself offered a charming, family-friendly atmosphere where children ride their bikes to school, and we could easily stroll through the parks while appreciating the local culture and history, including traces of ancient sites like the Roman Theatre.
